DONOR PRIVACY POLICY

The CHATT Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) agency committed to meeting the most basic needs of hungry, homeless, and vulnerable people in our community while offering a clear path to self-sufficiency. All donations shall be used to further our mission.

The CHATT Foundation is committed to the privacy of our donors. This policy serves to assure that donor information will not be shared for any third-party purposes. The Foundation maintains the highest level of respect for the privacy of our donors. We seek to ensure that donors have trust and confidence in our practices.

This policy applies to all information received by the CHATT Foundation, both online and offline, on any platform, as well as electronic, written, or oral communications.  

The following Privacy Policy relates to donors:

The CHATT Foundation collects and maintains the following type of information:

  • Personal Information: name, address, telephone number, email address, relationships

  • Donation information: gift data, amounts, dates, stated restrictions

  • Engagement Information: volunteerism, event attendance, publications, special requests 

The CHATT Foundation uses donor information for the following purposes:

  • Donation processing

  • Donation acknowledgment

  • Internal analysis and record keeping

  • Direct contact with donors and prospective donors

All information is confidential.  We will not sell, share or trade your information.

Security and Enforcement:

The Chattanooga Community Kitchen protects your personal information from loss, misuse, alteration or unauthorized disclosure by requiring employees with access to personal data to comply with our privacy policy. We utilize secure data networks and software protected by industry-standard encryption and password protection systems.

In the unlikely event of a data security breach, a representative of the CHATT Foundation will inform you of the breach and any data that may have been obtained. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary.

This policy may be updated from time to time; when updated, the version date will appear at the bottom of this web page and in the heading of the print version.
