Starting in August, our Kitchen will undergo a much needed renovation.
We are thrilled about this renovation, because it will:
Bring in new equipment to increase our cooking capacity and efficiency.
Renovate spaces behind the our kitchen to increase our efficiency.
While we believe this update is critical for our continued service to our community, it will create one large hurdle, namely, our ability to cook food.
As always, we can’t serve the people we serve, without the support of our community! During this renovation, we are relying on the generosity of our servant-hearted volunteers. We are in need of volunteer groups to bring cooked food for our participants.
Volunteer Groups may choose to:
Bring food prepared and ready to serve to the CHATT Foundation for their slotted time.
Bring food prepared, ready to serve, and drop it off for other volunteers or staff to serve.
Groups scheduled to serve meals will continue to serve on their regular days & times.
During Phase 3: We will have on-site only coolers and warmers. We will not have a dishwasher.
Our Process
Groups can sign up on our Signup Genius here. You may be asked to create an account, but it isn’t necessary.
Select The Date, and shift (breakfast, lunch or dinner), Include what you intend to bring (main dish). Dinners will be sack lunches only (plan for about 175).
In the comment section, indicate any considerations you may have: i.e. If you plan to use CHATT Foundation inventory, write: “Will use CHATT Foundation inventory”. or “will need coolers”. Or “will drop off for other volunteers”

Expectations
Please arrive at least 20 minutes before your shift so you can: Sign-in, wash your hands, put on your hairnet, apron and gloves. and set-up food.
Please bring breakfast by 6:30 AM, ready to serve.
Please bring Lunch by 11:00 AM.
Dinners will be sack meals. Sign-up to provide sack lunches that can be handed out for dinner.

Enter your main dish - In this example, “Hot Dogs” is the main dish.

Tell us if you intend to use CHATT Foundation inventory or need cooler/warmers or if you plan to drop food off for another group to serve.
